Clear Creek - Golden Fishing Report

Flows are dropping and fishing has been good with copper johns and hares ears. Nymphing the deeper holes has done best, but hopper dropper is also doing well along the edges.  Afternoon storms are making the waters stained from time to time, but san juans or small leeches and streamers do well in stained waters.  Drakes are sporadically showing up bringing the fish to the surface with authority.  These larger mayflies are primarily above Idaho Springs and can be an awesome time if you hit the hatch right.  Not the prettiest spot but the fish are there.
