Rocky Mountain National Park - Moraine Park (Surrounding Drainage) Fishing Report
The park is at late summer flows and this means good dry fly fishing.  The hatches consist of drakes, pmd's, red quills, small stones, and other mayflies.  don't forget about flying ants, ants, beetles, and hoopers too.  The park is rich in terrestrial life, especially ants, and some recent trips to Wild Basin, The Loch, and Roaring River can prove it. The Big Thompson a long the Fern Lake Trail has been a local favorite and the many lakes continue to fish excellent.  The park has another month or so of good fishing before she starts to yawn and make ready for another long slumber.  Lakes such as Fern, Dream, and Loch Vale have all fished great this past week.  Good midges, ants, beetles, and pink sjw.
