South Boulder Creek - Below Gross Fishing Report

The flows are on their way down and the fishing is heating up.  SBC is a cold tailwater with a deep reservoir up top.  We see the warmest waters for the year around this time, but still only in the 50's.  A good mix of bugs and on any day at this time you may see; PMD's, BWO's, Drakes, Quills, Caddis, Stones, and midges.  Figuring out what to fish can be a challenge so I usually fish a Fat Albert #12 with a Rainbow Warrior Dropper and let it rip.  Slow fishing in the mornings, but by 10 am things pick up and a drake hatch will really bring the fish to the surface.  An overcast day can be the best dry fly action of the season.  Should be good for the next 4 to 6 weeks.  A must fish this time of year.
