Directions: To reach the South Boulder Creek tail water at Walker Ranch, drive up Baseline or 9th street towards Chautauqua where Flagstaff road starts. The road is steep and winding for the next several miles with wicked switchbacks and bike traffic. After about 7 miles on Flagstaff road you will see the lot for Walker Ranch on your left. The river is about a 20 minute hike down a moderate trail. To access South Boulder Creek at El Dorado Canyon, drive south out of town on Broadway until you reach the stoplight where El Dorado Springs Drive is on the right. Follow this road for about 2 miles, go through the small town of El Dorado, notice the swimming pool to the right. The Park requires a State Park pass that is $7 daily, and there is about 3/4 mile of access to the creek.
