Colorado River Fishing Report

We floated the Colorado from Radium to Rancho last Tuesday and Wednesday with much success. Three folks and two dogs piled into the boat at 4:30 pm on a rainy Tuesday afternoon with the intention of avoiding the lightning storms and getting into some of the fantastic fishing on the lower Colorado has to offer. We threw hopper dropper rigs almost all afternoon and again the next morning....picking up the majority of our fish on the eddie lines and in the slicks. The PMX in any size and color with a Tungteaser or Tungsten 20 Incher produced the most fish. Other patterns that caught fish included Electric Caddis, San Juan's and just about any stone with rubber legs. The water was relatively clear and running at 1750 cfs. The raft hatch started around noon and ended around 5:00pm.
