Bennett Bottorff - Rocky Mountain Anglers
I grew up fishing the salmon and steelhead runs of the Pacific Northwest. Since 2008, I have focused my fishing on the many trout species found in the lakes and rivers of Colorado. I have experience in many in many different types of fly fishing; including walk/wade, floating rivers and lakes with conventional single-handed rods and, more recently, with spey and switch rods. When is comes to fly fishing, I learn something new with every cast and I hold a certificate as a Professional Fly Fishing Guide from Colorado Mountain College.
I am fascinated by the long history of fly fishing and the people who shaped it. I have extensive knowledge of aquatic entomology and believe that experience in this area is key to a successful day on the water. Every trip is an opportunity for me and my guests to learn more about the flora and fauna, bird and animal species, and of course, the landscape. I do everything I can to spend some portion of my day fly fishing. I love it, it's a blast and it makes me so happy to share it with others!
