Birch grew up fishing the big western rivers of Montana and enjoying the outdoors of the Big Sky state. He has spent the last ten summers guiding/chasing salmon and trout all over Alaska while keeping a sharp lookout for brown bears. He holds a special passion for big kings that bend a fly rod to the cork. When Birch is not fishing and exploring local Colorado waters, he is at his fly tying bench inventing new fly patterns or reading classic fishing novels.
