Matt Powell - Rocky Mountain Anglers

      Ever since I caught my first fish at the age of 4, I have been in love with everything in the sport. From bass to trout, anything at the end of my line was a prize. Now, 14, I am working and tying for the shop and have an amazing understanding of rivers, lakes and all things in the fishing community. I have competed in international tournaments such as the America Cup where I placed 8th out of 60 adult fishing experts from Japan, Poland, Hungary and Ireland to name a few. I have also fished around the world in places like Costa Rica and the North American coasts. I love to spend time with the local guides who I have gained the knowledge of a lifetime from.  You will often see me tying or working at the shop after school or on weekends. I am a known carp fanatic but always enjoy a small greenback or a feisty rainbow tightening my line.
