An understanding of entomology (bugs) is not imperative to catching fish on a fly rod but those who know the basics will agree that it makes a significant difference. This class offers anglers a unique learning experience by incorporating bug samples from a variety of Colorado streams with the fly patters used to mimic these insects. The class offers different techniques to catch, examine, and identify insects in the stream as well as match the hatch. It offers anglers the basic knowledge needed to identify specific classes and genius of our local invertebrate life.
